Welcome to Here's Williamsburg!

We hope that this will become your go-to blog for everything Williamsburg-related, from food to history to business openings and closings, to exclusive scoops that you won't find anywhere else.

Like at our sister site, Here's Park Slope, we're out walking the neighborhood beat nearly every day, speaking to local business owners and keeping track of the goings-on in the area. Think of us as the person at the party who somehow knows everything that's happening.

Soon in this space you'll begin to notice exclusive coupons and offers for local businesses, as well as a few other surprises down the road. So follow us on Twitter and Facebook (links are to the left), and check in every day for local scoops as well as business profiles, interviews with bartenders, foodporn, and some history.

Looking forward to having you along for the ride!

UPDATE: Kabob Shack Grand Opening This Week

Back in mid-November, Here's Williamsburg reported that Kabob Shack, at 182 Havemeyer Street, was still not open for business, even after handing over $20,000 in advance for rent. However, new developments have risen after I was contact by Kabob owner Jano.

He told me the Kabob Shack will be open within the coming days, "It will be Wednesday or Thursday." So all you Falafelians, gyro-buffs, and kabob-enthusiasts get ready for the Grand Opening later this week. Here's Williamsburg is sure to be there for the scoop.
